About
Technology advances at a rate most folks can't keep up with. That's where I come in. I keep up with technology so you don't have to. I explain the importance of it and how it works in simple, short sentences. From WordPress and Drupal to Twitter and Instagram, I'm on top of things. I can write, edit, program, troubleshoot, and most importantly, provide you with the peace of mind you need to run your business.

I love simplicity. And it doesn’t get more simple than this. Good for IKEA for making it easier for anyone keeping their hands warm (IE, wearing gloves, mittens, or whatever) to use a touch screen!

Winter and touchscreens don’t mix because gloves and mittens aren’t so capacitive. Ikea’s Beröra sewing kit could change the world forever, had they not decided to only produce 12000 of the thread kits.

Most important line: “consider pixels for what they are—only part of a much larger picture, and one that can often serve up diminishing returns.”

The shocking news of the day—Nokia is making a phone with a 41-megapixel camera—is shocking for all the wrong reasons. It may shoot higher-res than most DSLRs, but that won’t help you at all.

If there’s one thing seasoned online users can spot, it’s a person or a company who doesn’t know what they’re doing. Have a look at the above organization’s Tweets (removed screen shot, but you’ll still get the point). The top three Tweets say exactly the same thing. There’s no hash tags. And they’re essentially sending themselves a Tweet by including their own avatar in the message. It makes them look horribly unprofessional in the social media world, and rather than continue along these lines, they should stop, learn the proper rules for engagement via Twitter, and follow those rules. Now have a look at another organization’s Tweets:

Good Tweeting

Note the proper use of hash tags, reference to other Twitter users, re-Tweeting unique messages, and an overall good variety of information. There are five distinct pieces of news here. And note the actual social feel of this. It’s not only Pizzeria Paradiso. It’s Tammy Tuck and John Fleury as well. This is how social media is supposed to look.

If you have any questions about how to make it happen, please send me a message.

It’s always amazing to see what the folks on the Photoshop team are up to. Take a look at this video by the senior product manager for the Photoshop team, and writeup on Gizmodo. Photoshop is as smart as it’s ever been, allowing you to freely move objects around your photos in a matter of seconds: http://gizmodo.com/5885285/photoshop-cs6-can-magically-move-around-any-object-in-your-photos
